Experience baby-smooth, glowing skin.

Dermaplaning is performed using a surgical scalpel to gently scrape away the top layer of dry, dead cells and vellus hair to create a baby-smooth finish. At Omaha Face, we take traditional dermaplaning one step further, combining the procedure with an enzymatic peel to provide a chemical exfoliation that works to maximize results. The relaxing process is completed with a soothing post-procedure masque leaving your skin feeling silky smooth, plump, and hydrated.

Chemical-free, natural skin rejuvenation with dermaplaning

Dry, dehydrated skin can leave you with a dull complexion. Dermaplaning can be used to smooth the skin’s surface while reducing uneven skin texture. The procedure does an excellent job in removing the fine peach fuzz, which can attract dirt and oil and trap it on the surface of your skin. Want to step up your results a notch? Dermaplaning can be paired with a chemical peel for deeper exfoliation and rejuvenation.

What can a dermaplaning treatment do for my skin?

Dermaplaning is a gentle facial treatment suitable for all skin types. With dermaplaning, you will enjoy:

  • Smoother, more even skin tone
  • Removes fine facial hair that traps dirt, oil, and other impurities
  • Allows for a deeper penetration of skin care products
  • A smooth skin surface allowing for a flawless application of makeup
  • Immediate results

Goodbye to peach fuzz, hello to fresh, glowing skin.

The vellus hair or “peach fuzz” that is scraped away during the dermaplaning process will not grow back thicker or darker. It will grow back at the same rate and with the same texture as before the procedure – no changes.

What can I expect with a treatment?

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, painless procedure with no downtime or recovery. It is safe and effective for all skin types. After treatment, your skin will be sensitive to sun exposure and might appear a little pink. It is imperative that you apply appropriate sunscreen in the days and weeks following dermaplaning, as your skin will be particularly susceptible to the sun’s harmful UV rays. Dermaplaning is not appropriate for those who are experiencing active acne eruptions.

Should I try dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is suitable for all skin tones and types, meaning most anyone is a good candidate for the exfoliating benefits of dermaplaning. It is especially attractive to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who should avoid chemical treatments. Men and women who have used the prescription Accutane should avoid dermaplaning for at least six months following their last treatment with Accutane.
