BBL (IPL) Therapy Omaha

What is BBL?

BBL (BroadBand Light), is the next generation of IPL (intense pulsed light). This therapy is often discussed with lasers but is not technically a laser. It uses prescribed intensity of light pulses with certain filters to treat a variety of conditions. Some examples include:

  • Freckles and unwanted pigmented lesions
  • Rosacea and vascular lesions
  • Skin laxity
  • Unwanted hair
  • Acne

This clinically-proven and effective treatment is great at removing melasma, sunspots, freckling, and veins. By delivering the broad based light to the epidermis, we are able to give lasting and noticeable improvement to skin tone, texture, and elasticity. The best part is there is no downtime. You are able to resume full activity, makeup use, and cleansing right away. You may require more than one treatment, with most patients requiring an average of 3 to get the best results. It has been shown that doing a maintenance “prejuvenation” treatment annually can slow the signs of aging.

With strategic filters applied to the BroadBand Light delivery, we are able to achieve significant improvement in active acne. This utilizes the light-based technology to kill acne prone bacteria, reduce inflammation, and promote the healing process. A total of 3 passes are made with different filters for each step.

  • Step 1 utilizes blue light to kill the bacteria associated with acne
  • Step 2 utilizes yellow light to reduce the inflammation, redness, and swelling associated with active acne
  • Step 3 delivers infra-red light in pulses to help stimulate the healing process

The broad-based light is able to target the pigment in hair follicles, allowing removal of unwanted hair, safely and effectively.

Skintyte is exciting therapy that utilizes infra-red light to tighten loose skin. The technology delivers the heat to the deeper layers of the skin while protecting the superficial layers with sapphire cooling technology. The delivery of heat induces collagen formation and a skin tightening effect. The treatments require no anesthesia or numbing and are very well tolerated. As with all BBL treatments, there is no associated downtime or wound care. The technology can be used to treat any area with loose skin including:

  • Neck
  • Jowls
  • Abdomen
  • Arms

How much does BBL cost?

  • BBL $350
  • BBL (series of 3) $800
